Research work is caring out in accordance with the priority areas of economic and social development of the republic.

A significant place in the plans of research work of university scientists is involved by topics carried out based on state development programs of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The work on the participation of scientists from I. Arabaev KSU in scientific competitions has intensified significantly. From 2018 to 2022, scientists from I. Arabaev KSU completed 28 scientific projects through the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic in priority areas, with a total amount of funding in the amount of 19,513.9 thousand soms.

During 2022 alone, scientists from I. Arabaev KSU received 13 patents and copyright certificates for inventions and educational materials.

The teaching staff of KSU named after I. Arabaev participated in 185 international scientific and practical conferences, forums in 2022, and 38 international scientific events  held at the university during the year.

In scientific periodicals indexed by Scopus and Web of Science for 2022, 11 scientific articles were published, in the RSCI more than 590 scientific articles by the teaching staff of KSU named after I. Arabaev.

Every year in November, the university hosts an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the day of science, the best works are published in the scientific journal “Vestnik of KSU named after I. Arabaev”.

Research work of students and undergraduates in various areas of science is actively carried out, most of them are involved in joint work on research projects funded by the republican budget and international organizations.

Students annually participate in regional student competitions, various exhibitions, competitions, international conferences and symposiums. In 2022, a Start-up Center opened within the walls of the university, aimed at developing a creative economy, supporting entrepreneurship and creating start-ups among young people.
