The Academic Affairs Office of I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University is one of the university’s key administrative structures, responsible for organizing and coordinating the educational process. Its primary mission is to ensure the quality of academic activities, as well as to manage and monitor teaching processes.

The main goal of the Academic Affairs Office is the implementation and systematic development of the university’s overall educational policy. The office carries out initiatives aimed at improving the quality of education and ensuring the effective organization and oversight of the academic process.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Organization and Coordination of the Educational Process:
  • Organizing academic processes for full-time, part-time, and evening study programs.
  • Monitoring compliance with academic calendars and curricula.
  1. Curriculum and Program Elaborating:
  • Reviewing and updating curricula in line with modern standards.
  • Supporting the elaboration and approval of subject-specific syllabi in accordance with state educational standards.
  1. Implementation of the Credit System:
  • Ensuring compliance with credit-based education requirements.
  • Assessing, monitoring, and analyzing student performance.

Internship and Practice Department

Head: Nurpais Muratbekovich Bayastanov
This department manages and oversees student internships and professional practice.

  • Organizing training, industrial, and pre-graduation internships;
  • Coordinating with employers and organizations;
  • Selecting internship placements and managing contracts;
  • Monitoring student performance and reviewing reports;

Information Technology Center

Head: Zholdoshbek Kalmurzayevich Mokeshov
This center is responsible for the university’s digital infrastructure and IT support.
Key functions:

  • Servicing hardware, networks, and servers;
  • Ensuring cybersecurity and data protection;
  • Providing technical support to teaching staff and students;

This centre aims to improve the quality of education through the development of digital technologies.

Functions:

  • Planning student admissions and enrollment;
  • Planning and distributing faculty workload;
  • Collaborating with departments to develop new academic programs;
  • Participating in accreditation and certification processes;
  • Integrating digital technologies and automated systems (e.g., Electronic Student Attendance Recording System, Academic Portal).

Role of the Academic Affairs Office

The Academic Affairs Office is directly responsible for managing the university’s educational process, ensuring the quality of academic programs, and supporting student achievement. Its work contributes to producing competitive graduates and integrating the university into the international educational landscape.

The Academic Affairs Office was headed by individuals who, over the past 25 years, have made significant contributions to education and science, and to public service in general.

1. Tolebek Abylovich Abdrakhmanov, Doctor of History, Professor and Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic.

2. Ermek Nurdinovich Sultanaliev, Candidate of Sciences (Geology) and Associate Professor.

3. Temirkul Asanbaevich Arynov: Candidate of Physics and Mathematics, Associate Professor.

4. Oktyabr Erkinovich Kapalbaev – Doctor of History and Acting Professor.

5. Ravshan Akimovich Zainiev: Candidate of History and Acting Professor.

6. Gulzada Zhakypovna Bilbaeva– Candidate of Philology, Associate Professor.

The office is currently headed by Edilbek Amantur uulu.
