The Student Government implements the state policy in the field of education and training, as well as the implementation of the State Youth Policy through independent social activities of students. It is a voluntary, independent participation and responsibility in the management of education and training process of Kyrgyz State University named after Arabaev, which  established by the laws of the country. The Student Government is considered as a collegial council and organizing-executive body that performs the functions of student self-government in the university at the public beginning, and takes into account the interests of the students of the university and realizes them in its activities. The Charter guides it and regulations of the Kyrgyz State University named after Arabaev.

The Goals and Responsibilities of the Student Parliament

• to increase the effectiveness of the educational process, to promote the activation of all types of creative activity of students in the organization of cultural events, educational and  out of class events;
• presenting and protecting the rights and interests of students;
• Development of students' worldview and realization of their own intellectual capabilities;
• Promotion of a healthy lifestyle and ecological worldview among KSU students;
• Strengthening of university, regional and international student relations.

The Structure and functions of the Student Parliament

• Expressing the interests of university students at the inter-university, local, regional, republican levels;
• Reporting the interests of students to the administration of the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev;
• Bringing proposals for awarding students for their scientific, educational and social activities to the Academic Council of the educational institution;
• express initiatives on various issues of student life;

Debate club "INTELLECT CUP" created by the student council together with public association "Birigeli" held the inter-university debate tournament "Birigeli CUP" at a high level. More than 10 teams competed in the tournament, and the university team took the 2nd place. "INTELLECT CUP" debating club is active today.
