Institute of History and Socio-Legal Education named after E.Zh. Maanaev

The founding of the Institute of History and Socio-Legal Education named after E.Zh. Maanaev corresponds to the period when the Kyrgyz Pedagogical Institute for Women established. In the academic year 1952-1953, the faculty of history opened based on the pedagogical institute. According to the decision of the Council of Scientists of the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev. On January 31, 2014 #26, for his many years of fruitful work in the field of education and science in 2017, the Institute of History and Socio-Legal Education gave the name after Professor Maanaev Egemberdy Zhumagulovich in consideration of his significant contribution to the creation and development of the Institute of History and Socio-Legal Education.

Currently, the department of "General History and SLE" and "History and Ethnology of Kyrgyzstan" are working in the institute. Agreements signed with the Faculty of History of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Russian State Humanities University.
