New information technologies institute
By the order of the Rector of the KSU named after I. Arabaev No. 79/5 dated April 3, 2002, the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science was transformed into the New Information Technologies Institute with 5 departments. On the basis of Order No. 01-8/115 dated March 1, 2016, the Institute was transformed into the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics Education and Information Technology with 3 departments. The New Information Technologies Institute was established on the basis of Order No. 01-8/335 dated May 30, 2023. The Institute was headed by: R.K. Kerimov, Candidate of Sciences in Technology, Associate Professor has been the director of the New Information Technologies Institute since 2023.

Accomplishments and Achievements
In December 2018, an interdepartmental dissertation council for the defense of doctoral and candidate theses started working within the framework of the KSU named after I. Arabaev and the KSTU named after I. Razzakov. The Dissertation Council works continuously on the following specialties:

05.13.16 - Application of Computing Technologies, Mathematical Modeling and Mathematical Methods in Scientific Research (by branches of science) (for the degree of Doctor of Sciences in Technology, Candidate of Sciences in Technology and Doctor (Candidate) of Sciences in Physics and Mathematics).
The Dissertation Council works efficiently and successfully, it prepares doctors and candidates of sciences.
In recent years, the teaching staff of the Institute pays much attention to science. As a result, in the last few years the number of published scientific articles, the number of participation in conferences has increased, works are published in accordance with the requirements of scientific journals, including RSCI with impact factor, Scopus and Web of Science.
International relations
The Institute organizes scientific conferences, seminars, guest lectures, professional development training courses, student mobility programs based on agreements with near and far foreign countries in the field of science and education.

Material and Technical Facilities
The Institute is located on the 3rd floor of the academic building No. 1. The total number of students is 1,640. There are 7 computer labs of 20 computers, 2 interactive screens, 1 interactive panel, 1 television screen, 3 overhead projectors, and 15 laptops for students' training.
Secondary Vocational Education Division
The Secondary Vocational Education Division prepares students with profound knowledge and practical skills in information technologies, develops and uses modern IT, improves professional skills.
Secondary Vocational Education Division carries out work in all areas using innovative technologies in the learning process. The development of educational, methodological and scientific complexes is in progress.
Humanities and Natural Sciences Division
The main objectives of the Division are to provide students with basic knowledge of the humanities and natural sciences, develop analytical and critical thinking skills, ensure integration between different disciplines, improve the general level of education and expand their social, cultural and scientific ideas.
The Humanities and Natural Sciences Division ensures the comprehensive development of students to to provide a high-quality education. Along with deepening their reason, logic, humanity and understanding of the world, young people who will benefit society and the economy in the future are being educated by developing their practical and analytical abilities.
