Humanities and Pedagogical College
History
The Humanities and Pedagogy College was established on the basis of the decision of the Academic Council of KSU named after I. Arabaev dated December 22, 2005 № 3 and the order of the rector dated January 4, 2006 No 01-9/1,
Subsequently, on the basis of Minutes № 29 of the Academic Council of the University dated June 1, 2010, it was excluded from the Institute of New Information Technologies as a separate structural unit.
The college has changed its status several times in its history. In 2010-2015, there was a separate structural unit, in 2015-2019 it became an educational institution without legal status, and in 2019 it was divided into Humanitarian and Pedagogical Colleges. In 2023, the two colleges merged again and operate as the Humanities and Pedagogy College.
There have been several College Directors since its foundation. They are: Bella Kasymovna Kasymova, Candidate of Philology, Acting Professor; Chynara Samakovna Davletova, Candidate of Biology, Professor; Sharshenbek Alievich Aliev, Candidate of Pedagogy, Acting Professor; Omurbek Abdykasymovich Karymshakov, Candidate of Biology, Acting Professor; Chynarbek Duishenalievich Duishenaliev, Candidate of Geography, Acting Professor; Toloyev Maksatbek Zhenishovich, Candidate of Pedagogy.
Ashimbayeva Toktobubu Abasovna, Candidate of Pedagogy, Associate Professor, was designated as the director (starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, by order of the rector No. 03-5/139).
In the early years of the college, there was department of Economics and Law and General Education, then the Department of Mathematics, Humanities and Law, Modeling and Design, Tourism and Foreign Languages continued their work. Later, several departments joined the college, they are: the departments of Data Automation System Management, Software Insurance and Computer Automation System and Applied Informatics (by industry) (2010) and the department of Pedagogy and Kyrgyz Language (2012).
In 2013-2017, significant changes occurred in the structure of the college. During this period, departments were replaced by sections, each of which was reorganized in accordance with its specialization.
Instead of departments (2013-2017), industry sections were created: Economics and Law, Ecology and Tourism, General Education Disciplines, Informatics and Design, Pedagogy and Preschool Education. This structure was introduced in order to ensure the expansion of the college's areas of focus and facilitate its work.
In 2017 the college implemented a transition to a system of divisions to expand the work of sections, meet new modern requirements, and specialize industries. These changes have had a positive impact on the development of the college and have become an important step in adapting the educational process to modern requirements. The divisions are aimed at comprehensive training of students and improving practical experience.
Currently, the Humanities and Pedagogy College of the KSU named after I. Arabaev conducts training in the following specialties: Primary Education, Preschool Education, Special Preschool Education, Correctional Pedagogy in Primary Education, Vocational Training (by industry), Sewing Products, Design, Modeling and Technology, Design (by industry), Design (graphic design), Tourism, Ecology and Environmental Protection.

Goal
The College aims to provide ample training opportunities for future generations in the education sector, to meet the manpower needs of the country and to provide higher professional education in domestic and foreign universities in accordance with the targeted programs of study.
General Education Disciplines Division
The General Education Disciplines Division was established in in 2007 and it occupies a key place in the educational process of the college. The department provides training in general education and general humanities and social disciplines. The teaching staff of the department includes of 51 people. The educational process is carried out in the specialities implemented at the college, in accordance with the approved curriculum, created on the basis of the state standard of secondary vocational education. All lecturers have a high-quality basic education, academic degrees and titles. In order to improve their skills, lecturers of the Division participate in trainings and seminars.
Preschool and Correctional Education Division
The Preschool Education Division of the college occupies an important place in the system of teacher training necessary for quality education and upbringing of the younger generation. Preschool and Correctional Education Division of the Humanities and Pedagogy College of KSU named after I. Arabaev was established in 2019 as Foreign Languages and Preschool Education Division of the Pedagogical College of KSU named after I. Arabaev. In accordance with the decision of the university in 2023 it was renamed Preschool and Correctional Education.
Pedagogy Division
The Division Primary Education of the HPC was established in 2019 as the division Pedagogy of the Pedagogical College of KSU named after I. Arabaev. The speciality 050709 trains primary school staff.
The Department of Primary Education of the College of Humanities and Pedagogy instruct primary school specialists who are proficient in new technologies, educated, mobile, innovative and capable of self-development.
The department co-operates with other secondary vocational educational institutions in the country to improve the quality of education and training of professional staff. Guest lectures, events, excursions to educational institutions in their speciality are organised for students.
The teaching staff actively participate in seminars, conferences, trainings, forums of international, national level, actively take part in events, seminars, conferences organised by the university. They participated in competitions The Best Lecturer of the Year, The Best Tutor of the Year organised by the university and college and took prizes. There are 39 lecturers working in the department.
Design and Humanities Education Division
The division was established on 3 March 2007 at the Faculty of Humanities and Economics under the name of Modelling and Design. The initial teaching staff included artist K.I. Sukharevsky (member of the Union of Artists of Kyrgyzstan), M.K. Kokubeva (member of the Union of Artists of Kyrgyzstan) and lecturers of the Faculty of Artistic Design. In 2007-2009 Asylkan Toktomamatova worked as the head of the division. There were two Majors in the department: 260903 Design, Modelling and Technology of Sewing Products and 070602 Design (by industry). In the period from 2018 to 2024, many changes took place, and presently the division is called Design and Humanities Education. Currently, there are 21 lecturers working in the division.

There are 35 lecturers with Master degree and well-known lecturers with many years of experience in the field of youth education. The college's teaching staff participates in scientific and practical conferences, forums, and cultural and scientific events.

Humanities and Pedagogy College of KSU named after I. Arabaev is a state educational institution of secondary vocational education with a wide range of educational services. The College trains high-level specialists who meet the requirements of the humanities and natural sciences. The college's educational programs master modern learning technologies and teaching methods for inclusive education, and are aimed at the practical application of acquired knowledge.
Humanities and Pedagogy College is a creative structure of associate professors, post graduate students, Master's students, lecturers and students, based on professional knowledge of domestic and world pedagogical education, science and culture, using advanced democratic traditions in its work. The College closely cooperates with other secondary vocational educational institutions in the country in order to improve the quality of education and training of professional specialists.
At the time of the college's opening, the number of students reached 100, and more than 2,550 students are currently enrolled.
The teaching staff consists of 124 lecturers, 102 full-time employees, and 8 candidates of sciences. Their creative power is aimed at improving the quality of education and ensuring the relevance of educational programs.

Heads of the HPC Divisions
The General Education Division is headed by A.A., Kasymbaeva, the Design and Humanities Education Division is headed by B.B Turganbaeva., Primary Education Division is headed by A.Zh. Moldalieva and Preschool and Correctional EducationDivision is headed by Tolgonai Daniyar kyzy.
In the 2020-2021 academic year, Ch.B. Kulekova defended her PhD thesis, M.Zh. Toloev defended his candidate thesis, in the 2021-2022 academic year I.K. Moldoisaeva, A. Bakmanova, Z.Zh. Dzhakypova defended their candidate theses, in the 2022-2023 academic year S. Ormonova defended her candidate thesis. Currently, G.R.Bolotbekova, E. Tursunbek k., A. Dzhanygulova are studying at the doctoral program of the university.
The teaching staff of the Humanitarian Pedagogical College received 24 author's certificates for scientific works during the last academic year.

From 2021 to 2024, 14 textbooks, 11 teaching aids, 8 textbooks, and 55 standard programs were published.
Memoranda and Bilateral Agreements
Memoranda and bilateral agreements have been concluded with all higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as with secondary vocational educational institutions. As part of this, in order to implement the academic mobility program for the 2023-2024 academic year some students of Humanities and Pedagogy College of the KSU named after I. Arabaev were trained on the basis of agreements with the Industrial and Pedagogical College of Osh State University, Bishkek Music and Pedagogical College named after T. Ermatov, Pedagogical College of Naryn State University, Talas State University Vocational College, Vocational College of Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn
Student Government
Student government members and college students participate in various activities.
The Humanities and Pedagogy College holds charity events.
A charity event for children with disabilities was held in Bishkek. 110 children with disabilities and 90 families received sweet gifts, food, soap and detergents. They also took part in New Year's concert.
The intellectual game of the youth cup ‘Bilim Taymash’ was held in the Humanities and Pedagogy College of KSU named after I. Arabaev.
The team of HPC Young Wing was awarded a diploma of III degree.
In the volleyball sports contest dedicated to the 80th anniversary of KSU named after I. Arabaev, the women's volleyball team of the Humanities and Pedagogy College took 2nd place.
Material and Technical Facilities
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic has published 72 textbooks; USAID donated 1 overhead projector and 1,147 textbooks, teaching aids, 32 children's literature, 106 textbooks and magazines.
