A delegation from Japan arrived at KSU named after I. Arabaev. KSU rector Aigul Abdraeva, vice-rector for science, international relations and innovations Aigul Chaldanbaeva, director of the Institute of Japanese Studies Aibek Samarov, rector's adviser Michinori Yotsuhashi attended the meeting with the delegation.

Mrs. Mori Reiko, Member of Parliament from Wakayama Prefecture, Mr. Mitsugi Motoyama, President of Wakayama University, Mr. Takashi Bunno, Honorary Consul of the Kansai Region, Ms. Nadezhda Savikina, Consular Officer, Mr. Takumi Teramoto, Manager of the International Department of Wakayama Prefecture, Mr. Kazue, Manager of the International Department of Wakayama Prefecture, attended the meeting from Japan. Mrs. Nakamoto, the translator was Mrs. Mamasheva Zhiidegul.

Based on the negotiations of the parties, a memorandum was signed on active work in the field of higher education.

The Kyrgyz-Japanese meeting was accompanied by a cultural program, a tour of the school's museum, and concert numbers performed in Japanese.
