The seminar on English Language Teaching Policy in Central Asia successfully concluded at KSU
On June 5, the seminar on English language teaching policy in Central Asia, held as part of the AELLCA project by the British Council, concluded at Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev. The event was attended by KSU Rector Aigul Abdraeva, the United Kingdom’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kyrgyz Republic Nicholas Bowler, guests from Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and the faculty of the Institute of World Languages and International Relations named after Sh. Kadyrbaev. During the event, Ambassador Nicholas Bowler expressed full support for the project, noting that proficiency in English opens broad opportunities for Central Asian youth to integrate into international educational and professional environments. Rector Abdraeva stated that the university is ready to actively participate in implementing the initiatives of the AELLCA project. The seminar concluded with a focus on cooperation between state and international organizations to develop the potential of English language teachers and improve the quality of language education in Central Asia.
