Event on English Language Teaching Policy in Central Asia held at KSU
On June 3, a three-day seminar started at Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev as part of the AELLCA (Accelerating English Language Learning in Central Asia) project implemented by the British Council. The event was attended by KSU’s Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Aigul Chaldanbaeva, Head of the International Relations Department Aichurok Myrzalymbekova, guests from Uzbekistan and the teaching staff. During the event, KSU’s Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation Aigul Chaldanbaeva emphasized that improving the quality of English language teaching is a key tool for youth academic and professional mobility. The participants also discussed key components of teacher preparation, PRESETT standards, curricula and teaching methodologies.
