KSU teachers participate in the program "Development of modules on climate education"

Associate Professor of the Department of General Biology and Technology of its Teaching at the Institute of Natural Sciences of the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev, Candidate of Biological Sciences Gulnara Sharshenalieva, her teachers Gulnur Toktalieva, Nurifer Niyazova, Aizhan Bogachieva participate in the program "Development of modules on climate education", held in the city of Bishkek.

The event was held within the framework of the training program for the development and implementation of climate education modules (TOT) and was organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic, UNITAR (United Nations Training and Research Institute), ONUV Partnership, UNDP (United Nations Development Program).

They work in the following main areas:

- Biodiversity and ecosystems,

- Climate finance,

-Food waste recycling,

- Digital technologies and green economy,

- Ecological footprint and climate sustainability,

- Decarbonization and sustainable technologies.

The main goal of the program is to increase the professional potential of teachers and specialists for the systematic implementation of climate education in higher education institutions. It also raises the awareness of the academic community and students about global and local climate issues.
